The Author’s Guild, Novelists Inc, Alliance of Independent Authors, Romance Writers of America, the Dramatists Guild, AND the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America have ALL come together to help! That’s freaking amazing! But … they need everyone’s help … yes they do … because they are sending a letter to ACX/Audible and they need as many signatures as possible on it! Recently there’s been a big issue with authors and ACX/Audible … and it’s not been good! It’s been dubbed #audiblegate … and you can read all about it HERE – In short, they’re allowing people to return audiobooks, over and over, using one of their credits … which results in authors not being paid … but it’s worse than that. Oh aye, it is. We don’t have the capability to SEE the returns in our dashboards … so they’ve not been reporting them to us … Yes, you read that right. Now, ALLi (Alliance of Independent Authors) are involved and have put out a Press Release … DOWNGRADING them … they no longer approve them as a service for authors and have put them down to a ‘Caution’ alert .,. Now, that is a huge deal! Freaking HUGE! You can read about that HERE!

Their investigations are continuing, which we are all overjoyed at … because this isn’t over. Not when there are thousands of us who have emailed and asked for information on our accounts … and so far … nada, zilch, nothing has been provided. I know, because I’m one of the people who have emailed, and emailed, and emailed … and I’m still waiting.
